I am an experienced legal technologist, strategic change leader, and project manager with over 15 years of commercial experience. I have led innovation projects and portfolios for both law firms and legal technology vendors, giving me unique insight into both the 'buy' and 'sell' side of legal tech and innovation.

MY SKILLS
What I Do
LEGAL TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
I was Scotland's first Accredited Legal Technologist, a new accredited competency introduced by the Law Society of Scotland in 2019. I am experienced in all the main categories of legal tech such as e-discovery, document automation, e-signatures and legal AI.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
I am an experienced project manager, having earned my Introductory Certificate with the Association for Project Management and then continuing to learn on the job. I am well versed in running proof of concepts, design thinking workshops, and customer requirement sessions.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
I regularly present at legal technology conferences such as Legal Innovators, The Legal AI Forum, and the Law Society of Scotland's Annual Conference. I am a confident and engaging public speaker, and greatly enjoy the opportunity to share my experiences with my peers.

I am currently a senior team member at SkillBurst Interactive, a leading provider of e-learning solutions for lawyers. In this role I am primarily strategic lead for our market-leading learning series, 'Generative AI Fundamentals for Law Firms'.

DIRECTOR OF VENDOR RELATIONS, REYNEN COURT
Reynen Court was an innovative legal technology marketplace, on a mission to revolutionize how law firms and law departments procure and deploy legal technology. In this role I had overall strategic responsibility for bringing legal technology vendors into the Reynen Court ecosystem, and running the 'vendor-facing' side of the business.

INNOVATION MANAGER, BURNESS PAULL
I was Burness Paull's first dedicated Innovation Manager.
In this role, I was responsible for driving the firms' innovation agenda, which included scoping and running pilots and proof of concept projects for new software, processes or workflows across the business. I also provided client-facing support by sharing innovation knowledge and experience with the firm's clients.

ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER, LAW SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND
LawscotTech is a new initiative by the Law Society of Scotland to stimulate legal technology innovation in Scotland which will deliver practical benefits for those working in the justice and legal sectors and their clients. I sit on the Advisory Board of Lawscot Tech.

I was formerly a Senior Tutor in the course ‘Introduction to Legal Innovation & Technology’, taught at the University of Glasgow School of Law as part of the Diploma in Professional Practice. This is a course which I co-wrote in 2018.

2006-2007
DIPLOMA IN LEGAL PRACTICE, STRATHCLYDE LAW SCHOOL
Attended the Glasgow Graduate School of Law and attained the Diploma in Legal Practice, which permits the holder to practice law in Scotland.
2001 - 2005
BSC (HON) COMPUTER SCIENCE WITH LAW
This course was a unique blend of a full degree in computer science with most of a full law degree at the same time. Graduating this course with an Upper Second Class Honours allowed me to complete my law degree as a graduate in just one year.
2005 - 2006
LLB LAW
I completed my Bachelor of Laws degree in one year, having passed the majority of core classes during my previous degree (taken as electives alongside my core computer science classes).
